For the launch of Deen’s new flower delivery service, we introduced a lovable, memorable character that pays homage to their iconic blue-red branding. The challenge was to make sure that a flat 2D character does not lose it’s visibility when set against a live action footage.


To make this work, I gave the bee character more depth through presenting it with more intricate details, such as the usage of texture, shadow and light play so it becomes almost 3D like.
